CNN's John Sutter talks to Peter Bergen about CBDCs, the idea of central bank digital currency. He says it could be used as a form of direct stimulus in times of economic contraction. The problem is when we spend on everything and don't make any trade-offs for redistribution, he says. "If you want to do a UBI scheme or something like that, what are you not going to do?" asks Bergen.
