After he left Roxy Music, Eno had a lot of ideas for what to do. One was an experimental drone album with King Crimson's Robert Fripp called Open Parenthesis,. No Pussyfooting, Close Parenthesis involved Fripp playing guitar into a tape delay system that came to be known as Frippertronics. The first time John Peel played it on the BBC,Eno had to call the station to let him know he was playing the tape backwards.
