The hijab al-Himar has been subject to ferocious scrutiny. YouTube influencers, journalists, politicians and academics all participate in what is now a regular feature in how liberal society would like Muslims to live. We at The Finkin Muslim Podcast fought long and hard about addressing the subject but it is clear that many young Muslim women are confused. In Sha'la next week I shall be speaking to Farhad Amin from our sister podcast, a Muslim mum, to address the wider political debates around the hijab.
