How Much Education Is Required for Each Little Step of the Process?

I started getting into leather work about a year, half ago. I decided I want to make a leather wallet. And the more that I get into it, the more I realize that I don't know. Just the education required alone for each little step of the process is intense. It's an incredible depth of of tools of history and knowledge.
