By early 1973, it's quite possible that as many as 150,000 people have been murdered. Much of the slaughter is overseen by one of Amine's key enforcers and a fellow cakwa. People can be snatched from the street, bundled into a car at any moment. The jails are so full that underground storerooms, even the tunnels that connect government buildings,. are used as additional overflow prisons. They would have different kinds of clamps put on their testicles and weights that would pull them down. Some of the violence that occurred there was highly sexualized. If you were sent to the Singapore chambers, then basically in essence you would never return home.
