What's the Lithium Triangle?

There are two types of lithium resources. One is a hard rock deposit, like a copper mine. The other is from brine and brine is really salty water. Lithium needs to be 99.9% pure to go into the battery. It's used for about a dozen metals in oil and gas extraction. But none of those technologies have ever been applied to lithium because we've never needed this much lithium.
