The Future of CRISPR
I like the promise of the use of this in agriculture and the potential of this to really be one of the tools that we use to deal with the fact we're the planets on fire. We could use CRISPR for all sorts of really positive things but if you still have trillions of dollars going into oil subsidies, it's not going to be very good. But on the other hand, it's much easier to do geeky experiments than to change people's attitudes and to change political and economic systems. I would just say this is a topic that I think I would really like everyone to learn about and to educate about themselves because there are really big decisions to be made.
