Menstruation Is Dirty and You Can't Touch a Woman
Women used to be told that their insides were unsanitary and dirty. That mindset wasn't from the 1900s in advertising on Madison Avenue, it was from the Bible and the Koran. In modern day, Orthodox men won't shake a woman's hand because you could have a period or won't sit on the same bus seats. It's hard for women to step back and say how do I really feel about my period?
