The Import Export Market and the Future of Recycling

Only 25% of rubbish collected for recycling goes back into the UK. So a large proportion is being exported. We need to sort our own house in order, so let's just not export anything from the UK. And you know what would happen? We'd start an industry, a home industry for recycling it. But because businesses are going to be paying the reforms that are coming through in packaging take the owners firmly off the local authorities and onto businesses.
