Are the Bees Still Dying?
In some years we will see improvement, and they will have years like last year where we lose more than 50 % of our honey bee population. While you're working really hard to figure out what you can do to help the bees, their issues are so multi-faceted. There's a parasite very closely related to veroa that's currently spreading around the world now that i'm studying in southeast asia. We utilize lawn care and secticides that are bad for the bees. So they're dealing with so many things all at the same time. And it just takes one harsh winter for them to really get impacted by all those stress factors.
