The Strategic Political Reserve Refills the Strategic Petroleum Reserve
The president is set to release 15 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. He will also announce a plan to refill the reserve when the price of oil falls to about $70 a barrel. The move makes sense for two reasons: One, protecting taxpayers and second, it provides some certainty to the industry.
