How to Go Large on a Small Painting?
I think there are different ways of experience of experiencing a painting. If you've got enough textural interest and detail elsewhere in the painting, having something that suddenly kind of large and broad like that feels quite good. But on a big painting, what i find is it can end up feeling too simplistic if you do it like that. So i'm looking for simple, but that simple is almost deceptive in itself. And so page, i am trying not not to develop a formula, but i'm trying a process where i am building up texture and interest and surprises using collage and paint.
