How to Go Large on a Small Painting?
I think there are different ways of experience of experiencing a painting. If you've got enough textural interest and detail elsewhere in the painting, having something that suddenly kind of large and broad like that feels quite good. But on a big painting, what i find is it can end up feeling too simplistic if you do it like that. So i'm looking for simple, but that simple is almost deceptive in itself.
