Introduction

Bob Carroll's biography of Lyndon Johnson is the Book of the Month Club choice. Volume one, "The Years of Lyndon Johnson," was published by Simon & Schuster last year. The book chronicles LBJ's life and his drive to be number one in a country he didn't know much about. It also offers reflections on America as we know it today.
