The Night Terrors
In the first half of the novel, Dorothy is kind of Irene's anchor. In the second half there's a huge shift. They're each expressing there being overwhelmed in different ways. I won't give anything away but in the insane scene where they're trapped in a town under siege was what I was thinking with that goal of air. And it was easy to kind of imagine this scene.
