The Importance of Honest Communication in Relationships
I was projecting my fears onto him and not having those open conversations. Now what it looks like is we are two very different people. His work schedule looks very different than mine. And I had to realize and uproot all the places where I was maybe bringing judgment into the picture of what his work hours look like. So once we kind of establish that ground rule, then it's opened the door for us to have these really beautiful conversations. But I had to look at where I wasn't willing to just be on my own journey. The fact that he was willing to stay in his corporate job that he did not love set powerhouse women up to thrive.
