The Ukranian National Narrative
When the russian empire collapsed in 19 17, towards the end of the first world war, ukraine declared independence. But this fledgling new state did not last long thanks to a bloody war and a takeover by the bolsheviks. Socea hend eastward to what eventually became the soviet union. That is the deseminal change.
