The Story of Samuel Clatchko and Karl Polani

Kari palani levit is karl polani's daughter and a merediths professor of economics at mc gill university. She often listened to her father's stories about samuel clatchco. Klatchko had run away from his rabinical home in vilna and become a nerodnic, a member of the populist movement that tried to stir up revolution amongst the russian peasantry during the later nineteenth century.
