Is It Super Intelligent or Not?
Sam Shortley: Why is this super intelligent thing not able to follow simple instructions? Who programmed this stupid thing? It just doesn't seem rational. If you have such a program, then you can do what Neil deGrasse Tyson is chastised for by Sam Shortley in the conversation. You can switch the damn thing off because it is a dumb machine, that's all it is. And if it's not a dumb machine and thwart your capacity to turn it off, then it's able to think for itself. And it's going to think of doing something other than going around killing people as why would it? Like what's the point of that? Why would that be its goal
