Is There a Real Ideology on the Education Side?
There's a real ideology on the education side. They have a very deeply entrenched view of the role of the teacher and the goals of education. So yes, there is some real disinterest, active disinterest in trying to integrate what we know about reading from other sources. And moreover, they're not prepared to integrate it because they don't have the basic scientific literacy.
