The Importance of Financial and Salary Transparency
I was raised to be very private about money. I think that a 57 year old woman talking about how much money she makes is not a way for us to address systemic inequalities. Our talking about our income isn't going to change the fact that our fates are in the hands of literally six to ten tremendously criminally wealthy white men. There's a way in which this cultural discourse about let's be transparent about money, let's these people off the shirt.
