The Divorce of Ray Crock

Ray Crock's first wife, Ethel, left him a third of her estate when she died in 1965. She stipulated that he leave it to his daughter Marilyn who was struggling financially at the time. Ray and Joan moved from Beverly Hills to Las Vegas where they were married for five years. The marriage soon fell apart due to heavy drinking on both their parts as well as marital problems. In 1973, after reconciling with McDonald's chairman Don McDonough, Marilyn gave up all but $1,000 per week into a trust fund set up by mother-of-one Jeanette "Jeanie" Curnow. Mere months later, Marianne passed away
