I think generally these works are giving more of a kind of abstract idea of contemporary Europe and what could potentially happen. And I wonder why they, you know, this sense of imagining European nations whether that was to kind of free themselves from the constraints of reality. How do you write a novel has a long gestational period? then you've got to get it published, so by the time you publish it, events might be out of date. But as far as a novel goes, we want them to reflect society and how sort of the state of mind of people and different positions taken by different people will play out in human terms.
