The Only Way to Save Yourself Is to Kill Me

Jonah says, the only way to save yourself is to kill me. And so for a moment, what we see is Jonah relenting and taking a break from his stubborn, rebellious ways. The consequences of running have produced a brief act of selflessness on Jonah's part. They now know that Jonah's God is the true God and they sacrifice to God and they worship him.
