Vaccine Study Design - The Spike Protein

All the existing vactines that we have available now target one bit of the virus called the spike proting. This particular target for the vaccine is within different corono viruses with subtle changes. We don't yet know whether vaccinating with the booste we have at present will protect against other corono viruses, the original sars virus, mers or the common cold corona virus. That's a very good question. The hope is that in the end we may have pan corono virus type vaccine. But we don't know yet.
