The Moral Consensus
If God doesn't exist, there may not actually be a right answer whether or not we can discover it. I was trying to make a metaphysical point. Rape is an easy case; take the harder cases where there's genuine moral disagreement. There are many extremely complex moral issues that we need to work through carefully over a long period of time working together.
