Trust Science, but Don't Trust Scientists
The Bible would say that science is not something to trust your whole soul to because scientists are fallible human beings and can be wrong. Many people in our world make an idol out of government. I'm reading a book right now on the Communist Revolution of China in the 1950s. Chairman Mao is our savior. And if you spoke against him, you were blaspheming and could be killed.
