The Advantage of the Clom Argument

The clom argument just starts with the claim that nothing begins to exist without a cause and that the universe began to exist. The advantage is a very simple argument because if we just take the universe as just all physical reality, all of the space-time reality, then it seems to produce a conclusion of some transcendent cause - which again, people have to go on to argue actually is God, has to divine attributes,. So that's the advantage. The disadvantages are that it doesn't offer proof. And you also have to argue out for Swinburn, especially, you know, a lot of it comes down to simplicity. Debates over whether or not simplicity is important in scientific theories
