CEOs are hugely more tolerant of risk than the lay population. The interplay of that plus luck, I think goes a long way to explain kind of the kind of psychometric qualities of CEOs. But this is really important that this idea doesn't just apply to investment managers. And we don't do a very good job at questioning the performance and basically saying, was this due to luck or was it due to skill on both sides?
