Eugenics and the Third Reich

Eugenics in Germany did not start in the Third Reich at all. Alfred Platz had already begun his eugenic odyssey before Hitler was born. In 1890 he wrote a book The Excellence of Our Race and The Protection of the Week. He coined the word Rassenheijjim to keep Nordic people pure. This became the by word for German eugenics for the next 50 years.
