How to Choose the Right Signal for Success

If you pick an irrelevant attribute and boo to the level of signal, you may be disappointing yourself when you can't actually control outcomes that much. The key isn't choosing a signal, but potentially re evaluating yours. Ask yourself if any of the signals you've heard could plausibly be seen as a main explanatory variable and a factor you can potentially control. Pull some of your peers or people you respect for what they believe is the most important factor.
