The Power of Renewables
Puerto Rico is an island that's run entirely on diesel. The marginal cost to generate a kilowatt hour from hydroelectric power plant is zero. We're seeing this in Paraguay with the Taquhudam and West Texas. And there are certainly examples of funding non-renewable generation as well. But mostly, this is going towards renewable because you don't want that underlying volatility of the fossil fuel price.
