The Definistration of the Bohemian Throne
Frederick was a prince of the state in west central many called by various names usually called the palatinate or something like that, which was reformed protestant. The estates in bohemia had been sort of infiltrated gradually by protestants and sympathizers of the protestant cause. This quickly prompted a war where the austrians sent in armies to try to overthrow frederick and reassert control of bohemia. And it ended up dragging on for years. Once it became a sort of religious war dividing the empire, the other catholic powers in the area started to send their support for the hapsburg.
