The Padres' Money to Spend

The Padres are keeping those talks private if they're happening at all right now. Odo has said this every time we've asked him about his long-term future in San Diego, he has the same kind of answer which is, hey, two years in a long time and then from there we'll see. If I had to guess one way or another, I would think that he reaches free agency just because of the value he can command. The Padres want to test the theory that you know what if you win game and you build a star studded roster, yes, you're going to have to spend money to do so.
