The Impact of Strategy Leaders on Company Performance
In your research, did you actually measure the impact of the strategy leader and the strategy function on company performance? And what were some of the KPIs that you were looking at or key performance indicators? That's a really good question that we debate a lot and debate it in the process of this research. It does depend on the individual context, but it tends to get down to how you're running the strategy function. If you are driving on strategic planning, there are going to be KPIs around the effectiveness of the process for driving accountability down into the organization. Then of course how you are performance managing the resulting strategic initiatives.
