Biden: A Bridge to the Next Generation
Biden referred to himself as a bridge to the next generation and even appeared to leak the possibility that he would only serve for one term. The last time an elected president didn't seek reelection after just one term was Rutherford Hayes in 1880. Biden's approval is not great, but he also remains fairly well liked by his party. And there is very much the obvious possibility that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee and Biden defeated him in 2020.
