In Zen, it turns out that ultimate reality is completely inevitable. Ineffable just being used in our everyday way,. That we just lack the words to describe it weak. So Buddhism operates with this notion of nothingness which is really an epithet for ultimate reality. And you can't say anything about it. There's paradox lurking here.
