Cost to launch a kilogram of payload into space has fallen from roughly 50 thousand dollars for nassa's space shuttle, to less than 15 hundred dollars for space xs falcon heavy. With its new re usable designs, space x aims to further cut launch costs to around ten dollars byr kelegram. Cheap re usable rocket technology could mark the beginning of a new space race, with the frequency of launches potentially increasing from hundreds per year to hundreds per day. The sheer scale of the accessible universe makes the question of what we eventually do with and within it enormously important.
