i'm more of an optimist about architecture, i think, then you are. And interiors of homes, it seems to me, have become much better. I was in someone's house in lubbeck. That's lubbock, texas, right? Yes? No. H g t v, the the interior suggest a a certain kind of aesthetic progress,. Although in other ways, h g t v is decadent.

For Ross Douthat, decadence isn’t necessarily a moral judgement, but a technical label for a state that societies tend to enter—and one that is perhaps much more normal than the dynamism Americans have come to take for granted.
