Aristotle's works are sufficiently obscure that it became standard for commentators to offer excuses for their difficulty. Jacobo Zabarala, a professor at the University of Padua in the 16th century, felt about Aristotle the way I felt about Star Wars as an eight-year-old. He proclaimed to be second to no mortal in admiration of Aristotle.
