The Demand Side of the IEA
The IEA is looking at a demand that in some ways is clearer than a supply picture. We will be at the highest level in 2023 in terms of demand that we've ever been, says Fatih Birol. The growth elsewhere in gas oil and petrochemicals and jet fuel are carrying demand growth now. But despite that recovery in gasoline which remains 2019 will remain the peak for gasoline demand for the foreseeable future.
