Defending Style, More So Than Success

The off ball events are key to a defender doing really well. But i suppose you can think of it more in terms of a defender's style, more so than their success. So for example, if you got a player who's making a really high volume of interceptions and reading the play really well, that suggests they are quite pro active in their sot of defensive display. And suppose on on the flip side,. or centre back cand be somebod ho makes more blocks or more clearances, and the kind of meat and potatoes side of of defending... I feel like we've probably still got some way to go in the main stream, i guess, to maybe better understand defensive statistics
