I used to worry about all these things, like people would say, oh, i don't read other crime writers while i'm reading for fear of being influenced. It didn't take me very long to find out i don't actually know very much. So i be far better off writing about things i could gon. Also, when you're writing crime fiction, i'd really not want to know that the author knows a lot about committing murder,. exactly.
