Anterior Abdominal Stacked Wounds: What to Expect

Stab wounds to the torso are generally broken up into different regions based on their anatomic location. Anterior abdominal stab wounds refer to those that occur between the anterior axillary lines from the costal margins down to the groin crease. Stab wounds to the flank occur lateral to the anteriorAxillary lines and are grouped together with back stab wounds. In this case, given the location adjacent to the umbilicus, this is an anterior abdominal stab wound.
