Your Repentance Is Sparing You
Your repentance, king josiah, may not stave off the ultimate end of your kingdom. That would require your people's repentance too. But society's problems can only be solved by so ty's repentance. So he but before we get there, what does he do? He gathers all the elders of judah and jerusalem together to renew a covenant with god. This is not about just transactional obedience. This is about relational faith. And it's a covenant that we're making. It's a covenant god made with our ancestors, abraham, isaac israel. All of you will you renew that covenant, because that's what he's after.
