Are You Having a Toddler's Expansion?

When you're experiencing this sort of reactivity that you're kind of straddling two moments, the one where it was created and the one that you're in. So if we're securely attached like I mentioned, that we got that from our childhoods, our system learns I'm safe in the world and I'm safe with others. And so bringing in our autonomic nervous system is what I call our protective nervous system. That's its primary job to keep us safe.
