The Case of Stella Lies Back 79
Stella lied back 79 of Albuquerque, New Mexico sued McDonald's over hot coffee that spilled on her lap in the car. She received significant injuries requiring hospitalization and skin grafts. Both sides agreed the nugget caused the burns. The family's lawyers argued the temperature was about 200 degrees while the defense said it was no more than 160 degrees.
