The IMF Five-Year Forecast: A Dropping Disinflation?
If inflation expectations de-anchor, there are multiple problems associated with that. One of the downside scenarios we have in our World Economic Outlook is if interest rates have to go up much faster and you have much more tightening. That could end up with global growth going as low as 1%, which would be very bad.
