Toby Hooper's Spontaneous Combustion

Andre de Toph was a Hungarian American director who worked in the Warner Brothers system. This would, I believe, be the only horror film he'd ever direct. He later served as second unit director on 78 Superman 1965's Thunderball and 1962's Lawrence of Arabia. The studio asked him not to wear his eye patch while working on and later promoting the picture because they didn't want the public to think about their big 3D film with a one-eyed man.
