Using Mercenaries in the Congo in the Cold War

By the 1960s, Britain's empire was in steep decline and colonies he'd been raised to help control were flying free. Mad Mike Horr became a mercenary after traveling to fight Moishi Shambay who wanted to create a breakaway nation. He earned a colorful reputation for among other things shooting the toes off of a fellow mercenary who'd raped a woman in the field. For years, the Congo wars provided white combat veterans with steady employment.
