The Importance of Prophecy in the Bible
There is not a verse in the Old Testament that says, he will be called a Nazarene. Matthew's just trying to locate all of Israel's history, just in a few chapters, funneling into Jesus. You CBS was an early church historian. He wrote his church history around the time that the Nicene Creed was done. And so, you know, 320 325 somewhere through there, he wrote this ecclesiastical history history of the church.
